Meet Meghan: From Courtroom to Lake Days on Her Custom ATX
When Meghan, a partner at Albin Oldner Law in Frisco, Texas, walks out of the courtroom after a long day, she knows exactly where she's headed: Lake Lewisville. Her custom ATX boat—aptly named "Separate Property" (SP for short)—has become her escape from the tension of being a divorce attorney, and the place where she's building some of her best memories.
From Beaver Lake to Lake Lewisville
Meghan grew up on the water. In Northwest Arkansas, Beaver Lake was her life—fishing and watersports with her dad and brothers shaped her childhood. When she moved to Texas, she felt the absence immediately. "I really missed the water and the calming sway of being on a boat," Meghan explains. "I wanted to bring back that 'happy place' feeling and share that same experience with my friends."
So she bought a boat.
What Lake Days Look Like
A typical day on Lake Lewisville for Meghan includes her friends (and sometimes her Siberian Husky, Vi), sunshine, and enough wake surf boards to fill every rack on her ATX. "We love catching waves, our favorite tunes, and sharing the whole experience with new friends," she says.
Every summer, the crew makes a new playlist specifically for wake surfing and creates a shared photo album so everyone can contribute and cherish the memories together. Lake Lewisville has become Meghan's "happy place"—a place she can share with the people she cares about.
Her Favorite Memory: Jordan's First Surf
When asked about her best memory on the boat, Meghan doesn't hesitate. It's the day they brought Jordan out to surf for her very first time. Jordan is twenty-four years old and has Down Syndrome. "Jordan had NO FEAR and was ALL SMILES!" Meghan remembers. Jordan was excited to be on the boat, but even more excited to learn how to surf. She watched a few rounds, and each time would exclaim, "I can do that!" "Getting to see her excitement and enthusiasm about learning how to surf and just being on the boat will forever be my favorite lake day memory," Meghan says. "The ability to share my favorite place and activity with others is exactly why I bought a boat."
Why ATX? Built in Texas, Customized for Her
Meghan chose ATX because they're built right here in Texas. "I was truly fascinated that I could go watch my boat being built," she explains. Working closely with NXTLVL Marine, she created a custom boat that fits her perfectly—right down to the stitching in the upholstery. She chose the interior and exterior colors, sound system, and connectivity features. And as a divorce attorney, she gave her boat the only name that made sense: "Separate Property." The ATX Go System has been a game-changer for her. "It's so user-friendly. Easy to use and easy to customize. Simply push and go!"
Her Advice: Just Do It
For anyone considering purchasing their first boat, Meghan's advice is simple: "DO IT! Life on a boat is always better." Owning an ATX has upgraded her summer experience and that of her friends and family. Now, they plan around lake days—because of course, lake days take priority. "When I'm not in the courtroom," Meghan says, "you can find me on the water."
